MY CHILD, I BRING YOU VICTORY

 

   Lord, why am I not losing more weight? Why does it seem I’m going backwards? My scales tell me I’m gaining, but why? I’m eating the same as before. So. . . why am I struggling with the scales now?

I didn’t exercise before and lost over 70 pounds. Now that I’m exercising, why haven’t I lost more weight? I see the finish line of this journey. I need to finish in victory. I need Your help. What’s going on? I don’t understand.

 

   

My child, you’re functioning on automatic. It’s not My will that any of My children function at auto drive. I want a fresh new relationship with each of My children every day. Just as you enjoy experiencing life, each new event, and each new conversation with those around you, I want you to experience pleasure in My Presence as well. I miss our fellowship when you’re too busy for Me.

               I laugh because it’s your scales that cause you to turn unto Me to seek My direction. My child, do you know how much joy it brings to Me when you seek My fellowship? It fills My heart with pleasure. Yes, I pleasure in love from My children. It humors Me that it’s your scales causing you to run to Me. I say whatever it takes, I’ll use to gain your attention.

   Don’t’ think I cause hardships and sufferings just to gain My children’s attention. No,  it’s the Destroyer that is your enemy. His purpose is to kill, steal, and destroy all that is good. My purpose is to intervene for My children and to save them from all that is evil, including themselves. Remember I will never enforce My will or go against Your will, but I will intercede and offer an escape.

 I will use all that is or will be for My glory and to bring about total victory in the life of each of My children as they turn to Me seeking My will. It is My will that ALL live in victory. The sin of man brought about defeat, bondage, and death. I have come to bring about to each one new and abundant life. As you seek Me, I’ll direct your steps to total victory.

    You may exercise, it is good for your body. I created your body to move, so move it. This will keep your joints lubricated and loose. But know that it’s more important  you exercise your spirit by focusing more on My Presence and not your measured steps. Your heart leaps when you increase your number of steps and you feel a sense of victory. My child, I long for your heart to leap when you sense My Presence. Make Me the center of your focus for I AM the center of all that is. If I AM your center all else will fall in place exactly as I will it so. I even use your hardships for your good and My glory. My child, I bring forth to you victory, My victory. Now you go forth and share My victory with others.

Uh, Lord? Could it be that maybe I am eating too many deserts? I know I’m eating only half servings as You instructed, but I have eaten two or more half servings. (Hanging my head in shame.)

(I sense laughter.) Why yes My child, two or more servings of desert, half or not is a bit much, don’t you think?   

      But the most important issue isn’t your desert. It’s that I AM the sweetness of your life. I want you to love me more than all else, including deserts.  Love Me with all of your mind, all of your soul, and all of your heart and I will fulfill all the desires of your heart for I will be your heart.
